David's Tunes and Resources

Hello, I am a Bluegrass Fiddler and Musician.

I enjoy Bluegrass Music with a sprinkling of other genres thrown in just for fun...

At this stage in my Musical Journey, I'm looking to build my repertoire of Songs and Tunes.

My learning style is to

• hear a song or tune that I like,
• find the standard notation for that piece,
• learn the melody from the notes,
• play it enough that I don't need the notes anymore,
• then trot it out in public at Jams or other places.

This works quite well for me.

When I first encountered ABC Notation on the web, my options opened up greatly. Life Is Good!

On this web page, I've collected resources that have been a help to me on this journey. Certainly not all that are available - just the ones that I use and like so I can easily find them when I need them.

I've also included links to collections of Songs/Tunes that I've written myself (some copyrighted, some not).
